Day 33

mmmm, Day 33. We got more food tonight at Hy-vee. What makes things so difficult to plan meals is that there are some things they "don't have" and there are some things they do have, but they don't give you. For instance, this cheese. I went to Hy-vee on Monday night and bought two packages. Now today, they have none? Here is a small part of my vitual receipt. The turnip part is possibly funnier. So we'll find way to be creative with our recipes...and yeah, apparently no cream of mushroom soup either.

Okay, on to the rest of the day. My wife and son are creative. Here are some rain sticks they made. Basically a paper towel tube and some barley make great musical instruments. I hope those instruments don't break.

Our drive of the day was an interesting loop to somewhere west of Madison. It is a road I have never been on and not sure I'll be able to find again. My wife said she liked the farm and the bright green behind it.

Tomorrow is another day. I think the weather will get nicer. Hoping the 24 degree temps from this morning didn't damage any tree buds. Our pear tree from last year did not grow any leaves at the top in 2019. I am anxiously awaiting to see if it recovered in 2020. Hey, something has to say "I'm having a good 2020."
