I didn't have much for planned work appointments today, so I had a chance to do a little coloring. I'll certainly be ready when he wants to do more. I enjoyed coloring the palm tree by blending and alternating colors on the trunk.

I think it will warm up this weekend, but this morning was still cold enough to comfortably go out on the ice. I even let him walk on his own. He needs to know what if feels like to slip a little on the ice.

There is one spot on the ice that has a hole. I think the neighbor kids made it. I thought the water was only about a foot deep. After putting in this stick, it is at least two feet deep...maybe even 30 inches. I think the ice is about 4 inches thick.

We had a Hy-vee run at 2PM today. They have a new system where it is like a fast food drive through. This makes more sense than what they were doing.

At night we made our gingerbread house.

While we were waiting for it to dry, we watched the free recording of the Virtual Madison Symphony Christmas.

Then finally the finishing touches.

And then after that, I tried to insert the scene to the inside of the house....and the whole thing came down! Uh oh. I quickly glazed it all back together and put some supports (small water glasses) while it dries overnight.
