A bunch of crafts today. We have the beginning of some Valentine's crafts today first thing in the morning. This is called gelli printing.

The gelli made for some fun texture on paper.

Since it is so cold out, I accidentally ran into this thing with frozen pants. We've done the thing where you throw hot water into the air and see it snow. We've also frozen a t-shirt outside on a hanger, but I've never shaped frozen pants into the snow.

The first step is the easy one....get your pants all wet and lay them out to freeze.

After about 15 minutes, while they were about 90% frozen, you need to shape the jeans by making sure the waist area and pant legs are somewhat open. This actually took some work to pry them apart.

Then you needed to hang outside for a few minutes while it froze into a rock....and to my surprise, it all worked out. I could see where you could get really good at this. It is still outside to this hour. I'm guessing it will stay like this until Wednesday.

We took the sled on the way to shovel out our neighbor's places.

Dropped off a library book....saw a car in the ditch. Still very slippery...salt does nothing when it is this cold.

Then a final clean up of the sidewalk after the flurries were all done.
