Today is my birthday. Happy birthday to me!

I did some work this morning, but by 9:30 it was play time. Since it was a bit chilly, we stayed inside to do this craft. We needed to make some shakers for Kindermusik on Wednesday. We filled these paper towel tubes with un-popped popcorn to give the shaker some sound.

Then we headed to the zoo. There are two playgrounds next to the zoo. We tried them each out. One of them has this fancy shoe that you can slide down.

When we got to the zoo, he was all about being near the glass, until the tiger prowled nearby.

The lions got a pumpkin to play with. I didn't get a good picture of it, but the lion could pick up this big pumpkin with his teeth and carry it around no problem.

A lot of the summery animals were not available for us to see, like the giraffe, rhino and flamingos, heck, even the polar bears were gone. However, the sea otters which we did not see much of this summer were out in full force.

In the evening we made the pork schnitzel.

And then had cake.
