Today started with the craft. They are busy making a cape. It is an all-day affair, plus tomorrow too.
After noon today, we had a Target pick up. On our way there, we saw this person going downhill on the skateboard. I was just watching her weave around going quite fast. When she saw me, she tried to slow down by going into the ditch....but she was going so fast she fell. I stopped to see if she was okay....she indicated she was fine. I think it was a good fall.
As I was making food tonight, the cape making continued.
Lastly, we had an evening Zoom presentation about birding in the Fall and Winter. It was put on by our library.
We learned the difference between a dabbling duck and a diving duck. If you see swans this time of year, they are likely tundra swans. If you see a bunch of Canada Geese, you should look closely as you might find other geese in there too. Also, this year is an irruptive season for birds. This happens when in Canada and areas northward where there are not as many pine cones this year, and the birds need to travel farther south to find food. We'll see more birds this winter. A fun program.
