I think it is good to have plenty of bookmarkers this time of year. Having the paint swatches from previous trips to Menards are not as good as having a bookmark made by a family member.

A little before noon today, we escaped to Pheasant Branch to try out our new Fall birding skills. The sun angle made it difficult to see colors well, but with no leaves on the trees, we were able to see and track birds more easily. Today we saw mostly woodpeckers. I am not sure which ones they were, but it was fun trying to hear, find and observe our avian friends.

Thinking of a good place to have our breakfast picnic tomorrow.
