From our inspirational calendar page of the day...

While he was a pre-school, I got to walk all around Pope Farm. Normally we don't have time to make it to this far corner.

When I picked him up from pre-school, we went to the carwash. He really liked watching the car come through.

The parrots did not excite him as much as I thought.

In the evening, we went looking for tulips. We initially were going to look around Capitol Square, but there are so many vehicles parked there, that we decided we would try there another time. However though, we saw a wedding, so I took a quick picture of these groomsmen. The color is interesting.

Train...

Our new, less crowded destination was the Allen Centennial Gardens. I believe they were closed last year, so it was good to see them again.

on our way to the gardens, I took this photo of Picnic Point

Like yesterday, he asked for my phone so he could take photos. Here they are...

of course, right

While discussing how one of our snorkels got broken in the pool yesterday, I got my gear from downstairs. A mask and snorkel are always fun to play with.

Castle Repair Guy and Barbie also got into the spirit by dressing up in tropical clothing.

At the purple playground today, we got some extra practice on the ladder. We never had ladders like this when we grew up.

We were going to go to the UPS Store to return an item and go to the car wash, but he fell asleep right away, so we went for a quick drive on Rocky Dell Road.

The free car wash expires tomorrow, so we'll go after preschool.

In the evening, we kind of had to go to Greenway Station as the tulips are near or slightly past their peak. He wanted my phone to take some photos...

Then posing next to the flowers....the photo of the photo that was taken.

The dancing at Greenway is one of my favorites. Seems like only two months ago we were digging up the speakers from under the snow to let the music out.

So the tulips we put up on the hill on December 7, 2019 are looking good today.

It was a mostly pleasant day today up on the hill and those tulips are still doing well.

When I picked him up from preschool, I was told he was by the chickens. I was delighted to see he was next to the teacher and had an egg in his hands. They were then headed to the classroom. He was the first one in line to go to the classroom because he was the best cleaner upper in the classroom today.

Here is the egg we got from the preschool today. He said he'd like to sit on it until a chick came out.

I just cleaned it off in the sink

Kindermusik today.....today was the remarkable day where he figured out how to properly use the space bar to temporarily unmute himself to help answer questions or offer suggestions. I think once he figured that out, he wanted to answer all the questions the teacher had.

This is the "before" picture as I just fertilized last night. We'll check this out in two weeks if I have greener grass. I don't really care about the weeds so much, but my grass should at least be green.

The weather got to almost 80 today, so we went to Waunakee. Also a bonus, I got to visit with my supervisor for some time as he lives near this playground.

These photos look a little fuzzy to me....wondering if the sunscreen got on the lens.

We were told to put the cages around the peonies....so we did.

Chalking up our front porch.

The Korean Spice Bush is flowering now...so she just stood here for about a minute and sniffed.

For Kindermusik, we needed to cut out some items and paste them in the photo. Here we are pasting the back side of the easel, and then the final product.

Then the guitar player scene.

Today was mulch day. I got 14 bags to help finish up all of our mulching this year. Last year I didn't ever really get to finish.

Now I just need to get the grass greener and less weedy. That should be easy to do with the fertilizer I bought today.

When I picked him up from school, I decided to take this picture. With the current restrictions, we really don't know what play is like since we can't really interact. They are just putting away their toys.

The craft of the evening was to make polymer clay beads. The clay is a bit more resistant to movement than regular Play-Doh.

And into the oven it goes. One of the few things you'd ever cook at 250 degrees.

We'll make bead necklaces out of these tomorrow.

When we make scones, we normally get two breakfasts out of one package. With a strong northeast wind, the deck on Aldo Leopold would allow us to enjoy the sun without the wind.

We got a chance to walk around the pond on this nice, clear day. There are probably 6 different docks on the pond, so it takes a while to make the loop when you go to each one.

I think they made this Prayer Wheel for Earth Day this year. It was kind of fun to see this and play with it. They also have this fun notebook that holds up to the weather (Rite in the Rain).

When we got home, we had a chance to assemble the stand up desk that was ordered. Since it is likely we'll be at home at least partially for some time, we simply need this for the upstairs therapist.

It was actually quite easy to assemble and fits on her side of the office nicely.

We also went to the office to do a little bit of work.

We found a cardinal.

One of her colleagues has a bunch of toys. We received permission to go into his office to play with his toys.
