311

Almost every MLK Day we have gone to Olbrich Gardens to see their indoor display gardens.

Here is a photo from last MLK Day.

This year however, I'm not even sure they are open. However, the outdoors are always open, so we went to Cherokee Marsh - North Unit, just north of Lake Mendota. Not sure why, but we've never been here.

They have a lot of nice and wide trails. Some people here, but not too many. There are walks through the woods, observation areas and docks next to the Yahara River.

I'll attach a bunch of photos and put captions on...

at the observation deck, we saw this coyote running across the ice

he wanted to pull the sled

on the dock we had a snack

looking across the marsh

pulling him uphill on the ice took some work

at the observation deck - forgot my binoculars

a funny "hello" to the camera

We were out here a while longer as we played a little catch.

I guess that is all for MLK Day.
