New Years Day

We started our new year at Aldo Leopold Nature Center. This seems to work out well for breakfast picnics since the deck is always clear of snow. To start off though, we started by taking some photos. A link to the photos he took is here.

Here is the picnic. Note, we found an electric heater hooked up above our heads. It was almost effective at keeping us warm. We'll have to remember that in the future when it is a little warmer.

After scones, the best way to stay warm was to get walking. The pond was froze over, so we got to walk out there for a little bit. A picture from the frozen pond to the people on the dock.

On the way home, we saw some ducks on the Yahara River.

We also saw the "Dutch Domes" at Cafe Hollander. You can rent them for $50 to eat your lunch in your own bubble.

Made some Cheerio bars for snacks. We didn't try them today. Maybe tomorrow...

And put the 2021 State Park sticker on the car. I am always so nervous on January 1 about putting the sticker on and just completely messing up the angle....and to have it look crooked on the car for the entire year. I am quite happy with how this looks.

At night, we made snowman pizzas.

The last thing to do is to shovel the little bit of snow that fell.
