100 - Father's Day

This is what every morning sounds like, so I thought it was fitting to start with this...

The morning plan was to go to Carandale's to pick strawberries. We were far from alone. I think the strawberry crop is not a good one this year, as other local berry places have low supplies or simply did not have a crop. In looking at the line and the horde of people, we simply had a quick photo op and came back home.

And a picture of us leaving...see the long line?

goodbye
After that, we had breakfast at home and opened presents. Here's what I got, thanks to Mommy and Kai for the wonderful practical gifts. I got a nice big Wusthof knife, Kona coffee, a stacking game and a toy boat that Kai and I can play with.

Here is the stacking game. I think we will forego the rules and commence stacking.

Then off to the playground for a little bit to "put out some fires."

So no nap today, which is hard to believe (as I write this, he is still up). We basically drove all over the country, and this was the most interesting house we saw, and it is for sale!

700k....interesting...
Since we were not able to get him to sleep, we went to Epic to give the boat a cruise in the pond.

Then the most unusual thing happened. I almost think it is still a joke, but apparently being on the Epic Campus is basically breaking the law (if you are not an Epic employee), as a maintenance person came up to us on the dock and informed us of the new enforcement of a rule we still aren't sure is a rule. All kinds of people use the Epic Campus for biking, hiking and taking their dogs in this very pool... and I still can't find anything online regarding this. We promptly packed up and left after only about 10 minutes on campus.

We came back home for pizza and S'mores.

the right way to eat a S'more
he ate everything, but not in sandwich form, and did not want to roast the marshmallows

In all, a fun day, even though it didn't go as planned. Off to the next 100 days!
