The day started with the craft. We had both the empty Kleenex box and the paper towel tube to make it happen. It was kind of fun, plus it plays well with all his LEGO animals.

Then to help mix in the fertilizer and grass seed, we did a little watering of the lawn today. I know it isn't ideal to need to water the lawn, but we just need to get that fertilizer to start working. It should rain a little bit on Thursday it sounds like it.

As we were doing this, we heard a racket up the hill. It was the city workers assembling the new playground. There will be two swings for kids with disabilities, for a total of five swings when they are all done.

In the afternoon we rented a paddle boat for an hour. We were hoping to get the duck, but someone had already rented it out. Regardless, it was a perfect day to be paddling about as there was very little wind on Lake Wingra.

On the way home, I saw that there was a "Pop-up Library" at the Middleton Public Library. I think this is one of those things they plan a few days in advance if they know the weather will be good. You go and browse with your eyes the small selection they have brought outdoors. If you like something, they get it for you. We got a few Halloween books.

After lunch we went for a small ride to Enchanted Valley. They normally have a big Fall Festival. Here is some of their set up.

Lastly, here is a home that is being built up on the hill behind our home. This has been a curiosity for some time. I'm happy we went and looked what it was all about.
