day seventy

We've made it to day 70, and unfortunately, it feels like nothing is going to stop this blog from continuing.

The start of the holiday weekend began with a little cleaning of the sidewalk. For the first time in 10 years, the weeds are starting to grow between the sidewalk blocks. A little shot of water here helped clean out the dirt that was allowing plant growth.

I must have had bird poop on me
The morning brought a quick conclusion to the craft of the day. You'll note we printed out the photos on day 69, and now created an easel for those photos on day 70.

easels made of popsicle sticks

The drive of the day took us to Hy-vee and quick mid-day pick up of groceries. Just wanted to not be at a store for the next few days. Afterwards, we drove past The Bruce Company. They were completely packed with people who are excited for Memorial Day gardening.

After the nap was another haircut. The 2nd time around was really fast. Mommy is a quick learner. A special assist goes out to Sesame Street on the iPhone to keep an active boy still.

he was a little befuddled when I said the birds would use his hair in their nests
Finally, a quick shout on the 10th anniversary of the painting of our kitchen. My brother-in-law made this small mark behind our refrigerator. I'm a big sucker for anniversaries and special dates, even if they are trivial.

yes, I vacuumed up all the dust bunnies too
