I don't know if anyone else has this happen to them, but the day started at 3:50AM with this smoke alarm going off. Of course it was a false alarm. One of those intermittent alarms when the battery appears to have an issue, so it just started making noises....nothing like scurrying to get it to find a battery in the basement to stop this madness. I checked the battery, and all seemed well. Sometimes the humidity does it too...or a bug. Anyway, just a bad way to start the day. I looked for the comet right before sunrise...but couldn't see that either. So disappointment starts the day at 4AM. And Kai did not wake up, which kind of defeats the purpose of a smoke alarm.

At noon, we went out to Cross Plains to have a picnic on the new picnic blanket. It was a great time for a picnic under the trees next to the Black Earth Creek. Everyone had peanut butter and guava jelly sandwiches.
In the mail tonight I got some free interesting stuff. I registered for the Alexa Skills Developer Conference a few weeks ago. The conference is online next Wednesday. Since I registered early they gave me this free cap and fancy mug. I have not seen a coffee mug with a cork bottom before.
Lastly, haircut night.
